Federal Work Study Programs (Work & Serve)

 

Programs We Offer

Parents and Children Advance Together (PCAT), Metropolitan Ministries, JA BizTown, and Student Office Assistants.

 

July 20, 2015 -- Applications go live through Careers@USF
August 10-14th, 2015 – Interviews completed
August 31st, 2015 – Orientation at 7:00pm

 

 

Qualifications for Hire

Junior Achievement BizTown

o   An accepted Federal Work Study Award
o   Transportation – this position is located off of USF’s campus, approximately a 10 minute drive
o   An interest in working with nonprofit organization in the Tampa Bay area
o   Will complete an interview through the CLCE and through a JA Biztown representative
o   The ability to work in a fast paced, kid-friendly environment
o   Detail oriented
o   This is a 15-20 hour a week commitment
o   MUST be available 7:30am-2:00pm Monday-Friday
o   Experience working with students is preferred.
o   Public speaking experience is preferred
o   Ability or willingness to learn how to operate multiple formats of electronic equipment

Metropolitan Ministries

o   An accepted Federal Work Study Award
o   Transportation – this position is located off of USF’s campus, approximately a 20 minute drive
o   An interest in working with a nonprofit organization in the Tampa Bay area
o   Will need to complete a full background check, including finger printing
o   The ability to work in a fast paced environment
o   An understanding and compassionate personality

PCAT Literacy Program

o   An accepted Federal Work Study Award
o   Transportation – this position is located off of USF’s campus, approximately a 20 minute drive
o   An interest in working with a nonprofit organization in the Tampa Bay area
o   The ability to work in a fast paced, kid friendly environment
o   A passion to work with children
o   Afternoon and early evening availability
